PEP-N Simulation and Multihadron Detection

چکیده
The PEP-N experiment is proposed to study e+e− collisions occurring between the LER (SLAC Low Energy Ring) positrons, which have a fixed energy of 3.12 GeV, and the electrons stored in the VLER (Very Low Energy Ring) with energy variable in the range 0.2 GeV to 0.8 GeV, which correspond to center of mass energies from about 1.5 GeV to 3.1 GeV. Because of this, the e+e− center of mass (CM) system has a boost in the e+ beam direction (forward direction). The PEP-N detector (Figure 1) has been designed to fit into a dipole vertical magnet and to have the highest possible acceptance for the reconstruction of the exclusive final states. Because of the boost of the final state particles the detector is not symmetric: the interaction point (IP) is located 25 cm upstream with respect to the center of the magnet, to take advantage of a longer path for the charged particles into the magnetic field.

Multiplicity Fluctuations and Bose-einstein Correlations in Dis at Hera
Various aspects of multihadron production can be revealed through multiplicity fluctuations and particle correlations studies. The fluctuations are sensitive to soft particle dynamics and their measurements allow to test perturbative QCD 1 and local parton hadron duality (LPHD) hypothesis . In BEC studies , the correlation function gives information about the shape, size and lifetime of the bos...
متن کاملPerformance of Space Shift Keying Modulation over Generalized κ− μ Fading Channels
This paper analyzes the performance of space shift keying (SSK) modulation for a generic multipleinput multiple-output (MIMO) wireless system operating over generalized κ − μ fading channels. In particular, an expression of the pair wise error probability (PEP) is obtained. In addition, simple and general asymptotic expression for the PEP is given. The derived expression for the PEP is general,...
متن کاملMULTIHADRON PRODUCTION FOR e e FOR FROM 50 TO 61 GeV, C. M. ENERGIES AND COMPARISON WITH MULTIHADRON PRODUCTION IN HADRONIC INTERACTIONS
Average values of< 1- T >where T is the thrust are presented for e: e: AMY data and are compared with their values in hadronic interactions. As far as possible, similar analysis techniques have been employed in the two different interactions. Similar variation with E is observed for this average in both data. The values of < PT> and < PL > relative to the thrust axis in e e are simila...
متن کاملThe State of PEP ? Bernd
The PEP tool can be considered to be one of the most widely distributed Petri net based tools. A continuously increasing functionality and an adequate graphical user interface may have been good reasons for its acceptance. Currently the tool contains approximately 500,000 lines of source code, and supports (to the best of our knowledge) the widest variety of input formalisms and veriication met...
متن کاملPerformance Analysis of Maximum-Likelihood Multiuser Detection in Space-Time Coded CDMA
Abstract—In this paper, we analyze the performance of maximumlikelihood (ML) multiuser detection in space-time coded CDMA systems. A K-user synchronous CDMA system which employs orthogonal space-time block coding with M , 1 ≤ M ≤ 8 transmit antennas and N receive antennas is considered. Using the characteristic function of the decision variable, we derive an exact expression, in closed-form, fo...
